Fuel Cell Solutions
Hydrogen is the most promising fuel for fuel cells due to multiple benefits such as high calorific value and zero greenhouse gas emissions.

Benefits of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles (HFCVs)
Higher Thermal Efficiency
HFCVs offer significantly higher efficiency than IC engines.
Silent Operation
HFCVs do not have any combustion noise and hence run very silently, similar to electric vehicles.
Zero Emissions
Unlike IC engines, hydrogen fuel cells emit zero emissions.
Useful By-products
Hydrogen fuel cells have multiple bi-products such as water and heat, which can be utilized for multiple purposes.
Lower Maintenance
Due to fewer moving parts, HFCVs have lower maintenance costs than IC engines.
Limitations of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology
Hydrogen Purity
High-purity hydrogen is required for optimal fuel cell performance.
High Costs
HFCVs currently have higher costs compared to IC engines.
Infrastructure
Limited hydrogen refueling infrastructure remains a challenge.
Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle technology is relatively mature in European countries. However, it is very naive in India. The Government of India is pushing the adaptation of HFCVs under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
