We, at SQT have been working on HCNG-fuel technology since 2008. We are at the forefront of developing and implementing HCNG solutions that offer significant advantages of emissions reduction, and enhanced engine performance & fuel economy.
SQT calibration team has vast experience with multiple HCNG engines. SQT has developed a customized HCNG ECU (Engine Control Unit).
Our fuel system components have been verified and validated on HCNG engines by multiple OEMs and leading oil and gas PSUs.
HCNG: A Sustainable Alternative Fuel for the Future
HCNG or H2-CNG (Hydrogen Compressed Natural Gas) is a blend of compressed natural gas and hydrogen. It is being used as an alternative fuel in the internal combustion engines. In India, 18% HCNG (18% hydrogen, and 82% CNG, by volume) has been notified as an alternative fuel by the government of India. HCNG is being used as an alternative fuel in many parts of the world for automotive and power generation appliances.
Cleaner Combustion and Cost-Effective Transition with HCNG
The addition of hydrogen to the CNG blend improves combustion efficiency and reduces the carbon content of the fuel mixture. As a result, vehicles running on HCNG emit lower levels of carbon dioxide and other harmful emissions, contributing to improved air quality and reduced environmental impact.
One of the key benefits of HCNG technology is its compatibility with existing CNG infrastructure and vehicles. This makes its adaptation very cost-effective and practical for OEMs to transition to cleaner fuels without any need for significant infrastructure upgrades or vehicle-level modifications. HCNG can be seamlessly integrated into existing CNG refuelling stations and used in CNG-powered vehicles with minimal adjustments.
